About Us
A Credit Union is a non-profit making, self help financial co-operative formed and run by people who have a common bond.
Common Bond
Each credit union is governed by a Common Bond, that of the Harp & Crown is Serving and Retired Police Officers and Civilian Support Staff paid by P.A.N.I., along with relatives who are members of the same household.
Running of the Credit Union
The credit union is run by a Board of Directors who meet once a month to discuss the operations of the Harp & Crown, review any policies and promotions and general running of the credit union.
There is a Credit Committee which meets twice a month to approve loans over the current loans officers' limit of £4000.00.
A Supervisory Committee check all transactions, paper work, lodgements and insurance policies to ensure that all accounts and records are kept in order.
The general day to day running of the credit union is carried out by the loans officers who are available to discuss any details regarding your account and to issue loans and share withdrawals.
