Presidents Report
On behalf of the Board of Directors it is with great pleasure that I present this annual report as President of
the Harp and Crown Credit Union.
The business of the Credit Union has once again continued to grow from strength to strength and now has a membership total of just under 6,5000. Our shares have now reached over 9 million pounds with loans in excess of 8 million pounds. Our progress this year has, aspredicted, been in part due to changes in legislation introduced at the start of this financial year and we are pleased that so many members have been able to benefit.
This is an excellent achievement in so short a space of time and credit must be given to the volunteers on the Board of Directors, Credit Committee and Supervisory Committee. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the dedicated staff on the office, namely Jill, our Treasurer/Manage, ably assisted by Carol, Elaine and Tori who are also supported by Suzy and Maureen-Jane. Without all of the Staff this Credit Union could not have grown to such a great level. Their dedication and hard work is a credit to the organisation and how it has grown.
We continue to support and enjoy our relationship with the PSNI Rugby Club who have had another successful year. They make us feel most welcome at matches and occasions when we can attend and openly support us in return. I take this opportunity to wish them well in the rest of the season.
This year we continued to support charities and events by donating money to Action Cancer, Citizens Advice Bureau, Law Enforcement Torch Run and the PFNI Lottery Golf Tournament. All were most appreciative and we wish each of them well in the incoming year.
Finally I look forward to all your support for the incoming year so that we can continue to expand and provide this
excellent service.
