The Harp and Crown CU team had a fantastic night at the Athletics Association Police Sport Awards, hearing many great success stories, including that of guest speaker Michael McKillop MBE!
It was an absolute pleasure and privilege to meet national treasure and NI female sport legend, Lady Mary Peters.
Reflecting on her Olympic Gold Medal win (having celebrated her 50th anniversary win last month!), Lady Mary Peters said this gave her a lot of opportunities in what was a mans world. 🥇 Girls can now win any event and that is the change in sport! 🌟Very inspirational indeed.
Thank you to Newforge Community Development Trust for organising such a great event, recognising many achievements and hard work within sport, within the policing community in Northern Ireland.
