To withdraw your savings, find out your current balance, or to amend the amount that you pay, please email us on: email@example.com providing details of your identification and instruction...
You will always receive a reply, letting you know that we have received your request, and that it has been actioned, with funds being lodged either directly into your bank account, or with the postage of a cheque.
In order to be a member of the Harp and Crown Credit Union, you must save a minimum of £10.00 per month, either by salary deduction whilst serving, or Direct Debit if retired.
You can decide how much you save each month, with the maximum in the first 12 months of membership £100.00 - after you have been with us over 12 months, you can raise this if you wish.
Instant access to funds is provided, with none of your savings "locked in" - all we ask is that you leave £5 in to keep the account open.
The Harp and Crown is a non-profit making organisation, with an annual audit carried out to determine the dividend (interest) payable to its members. For the financial year 2011-2012 we paid 4.25% on savings. We also paid an interest rebate to borrowers..
The Credit Union does not deduct tax from interest paid. The current legislation dictates that we must report to HM Revenue and Customs once a year, those account holders who received more than £350.00 in interest.
At present the maximum savings amount that can be held at any time is £20,000.00 however upon opening an account, the maximum lump sum amount that can be lodged is £5000.00.
Lodgements can be made by telephoning the office with debit card, posting in a cheque made payable to Harp and Crown Credit Union or by calling into the office with cash.
